Three things to have ready before your first call
- Your insurance card — or the plan name (e.g. “Horizon NJ Health, Medicaid”) if you don’t have the card handy. We verify benefits within one business day.
- A short answer to “what’s bringing you in?” — one or two sentences is enough. We use this to match you to the right clinician and visit type. We don’t need clinical detail on the first call.
- Your schedule preferences — days and times that work, in person or telehealth, and any constraints (school pickup, work hours, childcare). Most patients are seen within 7 to 14 days, and we’ll tell you exactly when after we see what fits.
What happens after you submit
An intake coordinator reaches out within one business day (often the same day if it’s before 3 PM Mon–Fri). We confirm your insurance, ask the three questions above if you haven’t answered them, and offer one to three clinicians who fit. If none of the times work, we keep going until they do. Submissions don’t establish a clinician-patient relationship; that begins at your first scheduled visit.
