Therapy and psychiatry for Neptune residents
Our Eatontown office is about 10 minutes north of Neptune Township and Neptune City on Route 35. Many Neptune residents are connected to Jersey Shore Medical Center (Hackensack Meridian), one of the area's largest employers — and several of our clinicians are credentialed with the insurance plans hospital staff most commonly carry. Telehealth across all of New Jersey is also available if a phone or laptop visit fits your schedule better.
Strong Medicaid access for Neptune families
Neptune has one of the highest NJ FamilyCare (Medicaid) utilization rates in coastal Monmouth County. We are credentialed with every NJ FamilyCare MCO — Horizon NJ Health, Aetna Better Health of NJ, UnitedHealthcare Community Plan, Wellpoint NJ, and FidelisCare NJ — so the great majority of Medicaid-covered patients can be seen with their existing card. We also accept Medicare, Tricare, and most major commercial plans for residents covered through Hackensack Meridian, the school district, or another local employer.
If your kid is on NJ FamilyCare, mental health care is covered. We see meaningful numbers of teens and pre-teens from Neptune for anxiety, depression, and ADHD — at no copay for most NJ FamilyCare members.
Conditions we treat
Our clinicians see the full range of common conditions: anxiety, depression, ADHD, OCD, PTSD, postpartum depression, and bipolar disorder. For depression that hasn't responded to two or more medications, TMS is an option in person at our Eatontown office.
What to expect on your first visit
The first visit is a 60- to 90-minute evaluation. Bring your insurance card, a photo ID, and a list of any medications you're currently taking. You don't need a referral for most plans. The office at 615 Hope Rd is wheelchair-accessible with elevator access to Suite 3B; parking is free directly outside the building.
Most new patients are seen within 7 to 14 days. Sometimes sooner. Same-week appointments are sometimes available — call us and ask.
What’s specific to Neptune
What's specific to Neptune
Neptune's mental health needs reflect the township's diversity: long-established Black-American families in the central neighborhoods, growing Latino populations, and a large share of healthcare workers connected to Jersey Shore Medical Center. NJ FamilyCare adoption is high — Neptune is one of the strongest local SEO markets for the Medicaid-coverage long-tail queries we rank for.
For families on NJ FamilyCare, the practical realities matter most: same-week appointments when possible, $0 copay for most members, after-school slots for kids, and clinicians who don't quietly drop Medicaid plans when their schedule fills. We have publicly committed to keeping all 5 NJ FamilyCare MCOs in-network as a clinic — if your child's MCO changes during open enrollment, we'll still see them.
For healthcare workers (nurses, technicians, support staff), workplace stress and burnout are common reasons for the first visit. Several of our clinicians have specific experience with healthcare-worker burnout and the moral-injury patterns it tends to produce. Our intake team can match you accordingly.
